"JACK"

IT JUST DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS!

"I have had two other golden retrievers that I have raised and loved over the past 14 years and I have met many more through involvement in obedience and dog clubs . It may sound like just another proud parent, but Jack really is the best dog I have seen. He has a wonderful temperament. He is so sweet and full of love for everyone. He is great with kids and other animals. Jack is excited to learn and picks things up very quickly. He learns each lesson for puppy class so fast that the instructor doesn't have anything to do! And last but not least, he's a great looking dog. We are constantly stopped and told how handsome he is. Our family feels very lucky to have such a great dog. Chuck and Sue were great to work with while we anxiously awaited our new pup. They sent numerous pictures and encouraged puppy visits along the way. They have a great facility and show an obvious commitment to breeding the best dogs. We couldn't be happier! THANK YOU FOR LETTING US KNOW HOW MUCH YOU ARE ENJOYING YOUR MVP PUPPY! GOOD LUCK IN THE FUTURE! WATCH FOR THIS PUPPY IN THE CONFORMATION RING!

"CHEYENNE" Very content in her new home!

We brought Cheyenne home July 28th and can't imagine how we ever lived without her. She has brought so much joy into our home. We researched several breeders and I instantly knew the moment I spoke with Sue we had found the right one. Not only did Sue answer my endless questions but she invited us up numerous times to see the parents and litters. Everywhere we go with our pup people constantly remark how beautiful and well mannered she is. She grows more and more each day and loves exploring the outside and playing in any kind of water she can find. Her excellent breeding is evident especially in the obedience class she is enrolled in. She is so smart and catches on faster than any of the other "classmates". I would recommend Sue's litter to anyone looking for a great family dog to love and cherish.

Mike and Mickey visiting their puppy!

Finally arrived home to meet Dusty!

COMMENTS FROM A MOST HAPPY BUYER Having been an obedience exhibitor for nearly 35 years and having some wonderful dogs pass through my home, I feel compelled to share my experience with Sue and Chuck Kohlhepp of MVP Kennels in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The purchase of my male Golden Retriever puppy was so wonderful. It is hard to know where to begin. Let me start with the breeding stock. I can say it was of ideal bloodlines and included all health clearances. This produced the most wonderful puppies imaginable. I also must include the outstanding and conscientious care that that they received from the Kohlhepps during their first seven weeks of their lives. Playtime and socializing was done to perfection, and my puppy adjusted extraordinarily well when he came home. Included in the care that they received, was that they lived in such a clean and healthy environment. I can most assuredly say I have never had a purchase of a puppy ever be more pleasant, or come from a kennel with such high standards. Mike Trausch WE ARE SO THRILLED TO THINK SUCH A TOP NOTCH OBEDIENCE COMPETITOR WOULD CONSIDER ONE OF OUR PUPPIES! MIKE HAS HAD NUMEROUS HIT WITH HIS WONDERFUL LAB, DUSTY! I AM AFRAID HIS NEW PUPPY "DRAKE" HAS SOME PRETTY BIG PAW PRINTS TO FOLLOW. WATCH FOR THIS PAIR IN THE FUTURE! BEST OF LUCK, MIKE AND MICKEY, AND THANK YOU FOR TRUSTING MVP KENNELS FOR YOUR NEW PUPPY! WE COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!

"NORMA"

"Testimonial" " Norma was the first dog for my wife and I; she is a black labrador female who is to say the least a little crazy. We found Sue through pure luck and could not be happier. When we met Sue for the first time, she and Norma hit it off instantly. Norma stayed with Sue for over three months this summer to board and train with occasional stays at home with us. Our main goals when we started were to introduce a "soft" dog to gunfire, hunting training, and obedience. What we got we couldn't be happier with! The memories we have training with Sue are endless and cannot all be mentioned here. Some of the highlights include Norma retrieving shot pheasants on her frist trip to the farm, serving as the kennel greater, retrieving countless dead ducks, and getting to know many other dogs. Sue took Norma in and made her a member of her family. Sue took the most amazing care of our dog and even took her on family trips with her. My wife and I cannot say enough about the training and care Sue has given our dog. We continue to use her for boarding and occasional training and plan to as long as she is willing. Sue and her dogs have become not only friends and family members for our pup but my wife and I as well. Thank you Sue and keep doing the amazing work you do!"

Wanted to send along news of our boy, Drake, now that he's turned 6 months along with a couple of pictures. On his 6 month birthday he weighted 53 pounds and is 21 1/4 inches tall. His head width at this time is equal to Dusty's. Drake is still very well balanced conformation wise. Most importantly, He does everything that's been asked of him in obedience: heeling, fronts, swing finishes, sits and downs (all done on leash) as well as recalls on a flexi. Drake also does a fabulous drop both ways, verbal as well as hand signal. He is everything a trainer would hope to get in a puppy. He continues to impress us and makes us very anxious for himto grow up and get in the ring . We also get frequent compliments from other people on his great looks and beautiful heeling. THANK YOU MIKE AND MICKEY FOR THE GREAT UPDATE ON DRAKE! WE KNOW THAT HE IS IN THE PERFECT PLACE TO TAKE HIM TO THE TOP! MVP WOULD LIKE TO TAKE CREDIT FOR THE GREAT JOB THIS LITTLE GUY IS DOING, BUT MIKE IS A FABULOUS TRAINER AND ANY BREEDER WOULD BE THRILLED TO HAVE A PUPPY IN HIS HANDS! DRAKE IS A ROBIN X TRACER PUPPY!

GAIL AND "BROOK", KIRSTIN AND "BAILEY" AT THE FALL CORN MAZE!

IT IS SO GREAT TO GET PICTURES AND UPDATES OF LITTERS FROM MVP GOLDENS. OUR HEARTS GO OUT TO GAIL AND RICK WITH THEIR WONDERFUL DOG "BROOK". "BROOK" WENT THROUGH SURGERY ON HER HIP AND LOTS OF LOVE AND TLC HAVE BROUGHT HER THROUGH. IT IS SO HARD TO SEE A PROBLEM OF ANY KIND COME UP WITH A PUPPY. AS WE ALL KNOW, NO MATTER HOW HARD WE TRY, HOW CAREFUL WE ARE IN OUR BREEDING PROGRAMS, LIFE OFFERS NO GUARANTEES. WE ARE VERY BLESSED THAT "BROOK" WENT TO SUCH A LOVING AND CARING HOME! GAIL AND BROOK ARE BACK AT OBEDIENCE SCHOOL AND WILL BE SHOWING IN NO TIME! BROOK AND RICK ENJOY THEIR TIME IN THE FIELD HUNTING PHEASANTS!

MVP Starlette Marley

MVP Starlette Marley

Sue, MVP' Starlette Marley, formerly known as Ms. Green A year ago today, our family brought home a beautiful, loving, cuddly, quiet and shy young puppy. Today Marley is still beautiful, loving and cuddly, but certainly not quiet and shy. She has grown incredibly strong and athletic, and loves to jump, run, chase birds and squirrels and jump into any body of water no matter how filthy. Since she turned our house into an agility course at three months, we decided to channel her energy into agility classes, and she is clearly the young "Star" of our club, and we expect her do quite well when she is old enough to complete. We want to thank Sue and Chuck for sending this fabulous puppy into our lives. From the morning that my phone rang with tiny yelps from our newborn pup, to the weekend that Chuck and Sue welcomed us into their home like long lost friends as we visited our puppy to be, until a year ago today when Sue let us bring home her special little Ms. Green, the experience has been wonderful. The only problem is living up to the tremendous level of care that Sue gave to every one of her puppies. We will try hard. Thank you again, Chuck and Sue, for a great puppy and a great experience. Jim, Karen, Paul and Marley

"RASCAL"

Being the 1st dog in our family, we were a bit nervous on how it will work out; Rascal became part of the family instantly - he is such a smart and gentle boy, he was house-broken in less than a week and seems to know how to behave with each one of us as if he has a sense for our personality. It has been joy to have him and thanks to Sue for making our 1st experience with a puppy a memorable one. Thanks, Navneet

"Lambeau" now lives in Duluth, MN

Look how fast I am growing!

WOW! It's Superdog! As the saying goes, "No brag, just fact." Our puppy from Star and Truman is a fantastic dog. He is sweet, loving, smart, and beautiful. People stop us on a regular basis to comment on him. He was the star of his puppy class. He loves to be in the woods, off the leash, and stays slightly ahead of us. Looking back at us and staying close has come naturally to him. He definitely has the nose for birds and he doesn't flinch at the sound of a gun. He is great with people of all ages. We are training him to be a family dog, a pet therapy dog, and a hunter. So far he is excelling at all tasks. I bring him to my second grade classroom once a week to begin pet therapy training. He loves the kids as much as they love him. He is at home in the woods at the cabin as well as swimming in the lake. He is content indoors and outdoors. We feel so lucky to have found MVP Kennels. Sue and Chuck were so professional and caring from the very beginning until we picked him up (and even now!). They welcomed our weekly phone calls and answered all of our questions. We felt right at home with the "puppy family" when we visited. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The Bartels

"Lucy"

Your a good girl Lucy!

Lucy is a Golden Retriever who has had the honor of getting her haircut by Sue for the past 3 years. Lucy has had 2 knee surgeries and once her hair starting growing back, Sue was able to get Lucy back to looking like a normal golden retriever. She gives Lucy a bath, Lucy smells great and gets a lot of tender loving care. Sue is a great dog lover and I would recommend her to anyone. Sue treats each animal like she treats her own dogs.
